Pump & Dump - the public perception

When the public perception of a currency becomes tainted with manipulative tactics, such as the infamous "pump and dump" scheme’.

Where centralized exchanges (CEX) sell their coins at exaggerated prices to unsuspecting customers, the result is a significant loss for these customers who are left holding the artificially inflated assets.

To alleviate the impact, the individuals who now own these assets have limited options: they can either retain the currency and hope for its recovery or sell it, inevitably accepting a loss.
